More Serious Concerns

A quote from a letter Dale wrote in 1999

I have a copy of the original letter if it is questioned

Begin quote

Whether the decision is right or wrong, the right thing for all of us is to respect it because of those who have made the judgment.

End quote

Does this imply that the overseeing workers have been given the divine right to make 'wrong', the right thing for people to do.

This doesn't sound like the truth I was brought up to believe.

Another quote from a letter urging friends to follow the workers even when they are wrong

Apparently written in Saskatoon, Sask. April 12, 1999 by Dale

I have a copy of the original letter if anyone doubts the quote is accurate

Beginning of quote.

So, there are two possibilities regarding the decision of the overseers to maintain and support the status quo in Alberta.

One possibility is that the decision is a right decision for the province. That would mean that they are seeing some things in the picture that some of us are missing when we look at it.

Another possibility is that it was not the best decision for the province.

But, whichever is the applicable possibility in this case, it does remain the right thing to respect that decision because of where it has come from and to work with it no matter what our own thoughts might be on the subject.

End of quote

If I understand what is being said it is this

That the issue of right or wrong is not as important as doing what the workers say. Our own faith is not significant!!

Is it possible to get another message out of this quote?

A very good thought from a letter written by Don Galloway in 1999 To the Workers

(These folks were excommunicated for the following attitude)

"Over the years, we have heard the question asked many times from the platform "If everyone else in the whole world was wrong, would you have the courage to stand for what is right in God's way?".

Why are we now being advised by workers to be so submissive in accepting wrong?"

Judging by the spirit, if the spirit be questioned

Amongst my email today, someone had sent a MP3 file containing a recording of a phone call made by Jim Knipe and Gwen (I didn't get her last name) where a married couple were expelled. Dale and Marlene Jordan were commanded to give a yes or no answer as to their loyalty to the Alberta ministry which when they begged for more time to take a stand on, were extremely rudely denied and subsequently expelled. If any one has a question as to who showed the spirit of Christ, listening to this recording should answer this question. This possibly, but reluctantly, can be made available if anyone should question this.

This is a letter from Willis to his staff

Notice the direct order to Dale and Jack to "disassociate themselves from those they have been linked with in Alberta" and write it as a promise to all the workers in Alberta .

Showing definitely all the signs of major power politics inappropriate to the lowly way of Christ and leaving no room for the influence of the spirit of God.

This isn't the truth I was brought up by my parents to believe!!!!
