Hi to those involved with this letter

The following is a letter allegedly written by Eldon Knudson 2008 to one of the friends in Australia that had spent a few weeks in our home in Sweden a couple of times (as a guest that we enjoyed having with us very much) when we were proffessing. Evidently the purpose in writing this letter to Stephani was just to slander us as best he could before her. Notable, is that if it was Eldon that wrote, he hasn't come to our home, or called us on the phone or had any contact at all with us (except seeing his face at a funneral or two) the last 6-7 years --- So how he would know if we have a bad spirit or not is a mystery. -- And why he would be so anxious to slander us is equally questionable. The unsubstantiated claim that "Edgar does not have the spirit of God with him" can hardly be regarded as anything else than an obvious and conscious effort to defile our friendships.  What can his purpose be for the statement that "(he) is out to get a name and destroy others. Hardly very god-like."? Wonder if anyone can understand our frustration?

Edgar Massey --

Written to Stephani Gasking in Australia 2008 and then forward to us through her mother.

Hi

As you should know there are 2 sides to every story. Here is part of the "other side" to Edgar Massey's letters. This letter to him is from one of the workers. As you will see Edgar does not have the spirit of God with him, has sent his letter to all sorts of people he doesn't even know (I heard he was doing that from Canada) and is out to get a name and destroy others. Hardly very god-like.

(The letter under this link was enclosed. It is a letter Eldon wrote to us before we were rejected from the fellowship at Stockholm convention 2001 when I was still attempting to find explanation for som quite unfathomable discoveries )

It is a bit strange why just this letter of  Eldons, written to us in 2001 was choosen to enclose. Here is a link to the entire discussion the letter refered to.

The background to the letter he refered to from another worker, was a reply I had got from the senior worker in Denmark.

I had just found a large number of 6 and 7 digit financial accounts and fund systems used in financing 2x2 projects of different types in North America. As I had been taught that the the fellowship of friends and workers, didn't have an financial organization, and simply 'trusted God' , I asked about this.   The older brother worker in Denmark Johan Jörgensen wrote me and said he felt that I was unreasonable to question these accounts in North America as there was such a large number of workers there. He said "I have just checked our account in Denmark, and we have a reserve of the equivelant of an industrial wage for all the workers in Denmark for a year and a half." -- that is about what it would be there to. - He said you must understand that conventions and travel costs money, and we have to be prepared for the unexpected..

I said it may be reasonable, but it isn't the operational basis that I have been taught and indoctrinated to believe in. If any one asks about the groups ecconomic organization, they will swear up and down that they don't have one. -- and workers will slander other groups for "not going out on faith". What about honesty?

Another issue Eldon refers to in this letter is our concern for the way  Terry Barnato was treated when she chose to quit the work. The beginning of 2001(we were still professing at the time) we got a phone call from Terry, a sister worker (in Finland at the time) we knew very well (and loved very highly).  Saying she had chosen to leave the work, wondering if she could come and be with us. She was of course welcome to come to us – although much in her story was hard to understand.  The first week she was with us she got a phone call from the folks at the Stockholm convention ground saying that she wasn’t welcome to come there anymore!! She broke into tears as she hung the phone up – We were furious, and  got onto the phone for an explanation from the workers involved, and found out that the workers had spread numerous direct lies about her.  We demanded a meeting with the workers on this which they refused to start with – but later agreed to when pressured by the elder in Stockholm. When we got to Stockholm the senior worker was forced to admit that there was no truth in what they had said about her-  We thought that the issue was over with this apology (which we and she accepted)– but within a few months both her and her sister (who was also in the work) were expelled from all the friends homes in all of Scandinavia.  There was no reasonable explanation ever given – except to preserve the reputation of ‘the work’
